PRESS RELEASE -- Toronto Independent Games Conference on Hiatus for Foreseeable Future

TORONTO -- Dec. 6, 2007 -- Due to various organizational and event related issues, the directors of the Toronto Independent Games Conference have decided to put the conference on hiatus for restructuring. This includes the conference that was to be held January 17 through 19, 2008.

"We have been dealing with a number of problems beyond our control," said programming director Chris Charabaruk, "and we've decided that the best way to deal with them is to take a slight breather and return to the drawing board for a while." Chairman Julian Spillane adds that while the conference will not be going on as originally planned, the organizers are still at work, planning what will come next.

Anyone interested in helping with rebuilding the Toronto Independent Games Conference is asked to contact the directors via the Contact page on the conference website (at http://www.torontoigc.com/ ).
